Last month we discussed the impending changes to the Facebook “Like” button. It looks like the wait for this new feature to become available is officially over. This week the popular social networking group released their new “Like” button for all account holders to use.
The new feature changes the definition of what it means for users to “Like” something. It now means both liking content, and also becoming a fan of the Page too.
Additionally, rather than having one single fan metric, the new feature allows you to see how many people in your social network also “Like” the Page.
There was speculation surrounding the changes to the “Like” button, however so far the criticism is minimal.
It may take a few weeks to see the full effects of the new “Like” button.
Whether Facebook account holders accept the changes or if it becomes another new annoyance for users, we will be sure to keep you posted.
