TripAdvisor launch performance analysis service for hotels

Posted on Feb 6th 2012

TripAdvisor have announced the launch of an analytics tool to help hotels stay on top of their internet marketing game. The new Management Dashboard service provides a detailed breakdown of individual property’s performance and reputation on TripAdvisor, allowing hotel and resort owners to pinpoint weak areas in their business and take informed steps forward.

The new service, which will be free to all business owners registered on the site, has been designed to give an easy to read analysis of a property’s total performance on TripAdvisor and includes an analysis of customer reviews, current popularity ranking and a valuable chance to discover the most viewed competitors. Other free features include updates on the latest customer reviews, comments and photos, photo view figures and a rundown of the most popular holiday destinations among travellers.

Hotel owners who have signed up for TripAdvisor Business Listings, a subscription service that allows users to share direct business contact details with travellers, will have exclusive access to an additional set of Management Dashboard features when the service becomes available in the next few weeks. This enhanced version provides further in-depth analysis of their property’s performance on the website, including graphs chronicling page view trends, an overview of Business Listings performance in comparison to similar properties in the surrounding area and a tool that recommends special offer deals tailored to meet current traveller demand on the website.

TripAdvisor’s free Management Dashboard service can be accessed now via the website’s Management Centre. The enhanced Business Listings version of the analytics tool will be made available in the approaching weeks.
